DJI Has Released The O3 Air Unit, A One a kind of video Transmission System

DJI has earned a reputation as one of the best dealers in drones and other vlogging equipment worldwide. Yesterday, November 22, 2022, the tech giant once again gave its customers the O3 Air Unit, a new modern video transmission solution.

The O3 Air Unit takes imaging performance to greater heights with its flagship video technology, a 1/1.7-inch image sensor camera module, a 155° super-wide field of view, and several other upgrades. The 1/1.7-inch sensor can deliver up to 4K/60fps video while covering a live feed more than 10 km away.

Top Notch Video Transmission System

Image transmission is the backbone of any FPV system since it needs a wide range of adaptability. With this in mind, DJI produced the lightweight and miniature O3 Air Unit. It is more adaptable and weighs about 36.4 grams, and can transmit H.265 Video at a maximum bit rate of 50 Mbps. Furthermore, the O3 Air Unit gives users an exclusive flight recording experience. Also, the Avatar ND from DJI makes it possible to record videos regardless of color and lighting conditions.

No limitations

Considering that their users have varying tastes and preferences regarding use and functionality, DJI built the O3 Air Unit without leaving any stone unturned. So if you would like to use the DJI O3 Air Unit together with other devices from DJI, don't worry because the new O3 Air Unit is compatible with most of their devices–the DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI Goggles 2 in particular. The FPV Goggles V2 offers high resolution, video transmission, low latency, long-range, and high noise immunity. While the DJI Goggles 2 are known to have relatively lighter and smaller designs, plus they feature built-in micro-OLED screens. The O3 Air Unit is also compatible with the ergonomically shaped DJI FPV Remote Controller 2. This is also one of the best devices from DJI as it is equipped with unique Hall effect sticks and enables the user to execute highly complicated maneuvers.

Canvas Mode

The other good news for DJI enthusiasts is that with the Canvas mode, you can customize the data shown on the DJI FPV Goggles V2 or the DJI Goggles 2 screens. It's as easy as setting the OUD parameters and then adjusting the system to your preference or to levels which can best serve your needs

O3 Air Unit in a nutshell, plus additional features

  • 20GB of internal storage in the transmission module.
  • Like its predecessor, the DJI Digital FPV System, it is lightweight and small in size, enabling simple installation.
  • Card Reader mode with a USB connection for rapid file reading.
  • RockSteady assistance to produce even smoother video and pictures.
  • Fluency of transmission using a proprietary algorithm that improves the smoothness and low latency of live footage.
  • Features a 2.7K/120fps slow motion video which helps in dramatic editing.
  • Ultra-low latency video transmission at speeds less than 28 Ms.
